INEC offices has been attacked in 3 South Eastern states

INEC offices in Anambra, Enugu, and Imo states has been attacked.
The resident electoral commission in the three states have confirmed the attacks which took place at various times on the night of Sunday 23rd may 2021.
In Anambra State, the head quarters office in Awka was set ablaze in the most worst bombardment on the commission’s properties so far. Two stores housing electoral materials were burnt down.
About 50% of non sensitive materials needed for the November 6 2021 governorship election was also lost In the fire.
In imo state, INEC office in Ahiazu mbaise local government area was attacked at dusk in a clear attempt to set the building ablaze.
Fortunately, no electoral materials or office tools were lost.
In Enugu state, at about 1:00pm the igboeze south LGA office was attacked. The store was almost burnt completely before the intervention of the Enugu fire service.
This is the third attack on INEC facility on the state in less than two weeks.
The INEC press revealed that the attackers were systematic and selective in their targets.
Although, all three Incidents in the south eastern states have been reported to the police for investigation.
