Security operatives from Oleh Police Station in Delta State have arrested one Akpoghene Idogo, a 20-year-old cobbler, and his accomplice, Onos Simon over their involvement in the alleged ritual killing of a 50-year-old pepper seller.
According to reports on DAILY TRUST, the suspects reportedly killed the 50-year-old pepper seller identified as Mrs Patience Komore and sold her vital organs to ritualists for N100,000.
The Delta State police through its Public Relations Officer, Edafe Bright, said in a statement that the suspects removed some vital body parts of Mrs Komore after killing the lady. Also, the suspects were alleged to have buried the deceased in a shallow grave.
One of the suspects, Simon Onos, was apprehended two days after the incident, while his partner in crime fled the neighbourhood to avoid arrest.
However, the security operatives through the confessional statement of Simon was able to arrest the 20-year-old Idogo in Kwale in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of the state where he had gone to evade arrest.
Meanwhile, efforts are still ongoing to arrest the suspects who paid for the body parts.
