Court jails lawyer for seven years. Read why.

A Nigerian lawyer has been sentenced to seven years imprisonment by justice mojisola Dada of the special offences court sitting in ikeja lagos. The charges were brought against him by the lagos zonal command of the EFCC.
The lawyer, Kenneth chukuemeka Ajoku has been jailed in lagos for committing perjury (the deliberate giving of false or misleading testimony under oath).
Sometimes in 2017, the EFCC received confidential intelligence report about a group of fraudsters who were selling Government property.
Ajoku deliberately gave false testimony in favour of the fraudsters who have already been found guilty of the offence. The lawyer’s act breaches the Nigerian constitution and it is punishable by law.
The lawyer fabricated the evidences brought against him by the Economic and financial crimes commission.
The sentencing of lawyer Kenneth chukuemeka Ajoku, to me, it illustrates the power of the rule of law in Nigeria, which states Nobody is above the law irrespective of your status or position.
